Well, how stupid and arrogant is this? 2 channels don't show the tour de cheat anymore, and ONLY because of the money a private channel jumps in, no matter what had happened?
EVERY F***ING ONE of the drivers and teams knows what's going on, and I'd bet my balls that over 95% have at least doped once. Controls are not strict at all, I could go to my doctor, give him some money, then he'll write that I once had a steel pan welded to my forehead and therefore NEED to take epo, otherwise I'll die. Off to the track I'd go!

Though I don't see a real NEED for new rims I admire your politeness and how you start things. Most Demo users just scream "I WANT PLEEZ", you offer something which MIGHT be very helpful in the future! Thanks for that!
I don't think there will be an option for rims of different sizes since everyone will somehow drive the same sized ones for a certain track, also I believe that you'll need an uber fast computer to run a sim which calculates airstream around spokes!
The rims you're doing atm look really great though, and if my computer could handle different (-styled, not -sized please!) rims on same cars, why not make everybody happy.
My opinion about ricer's stuff is a bit different; I respect people who just go for the optics and want to show off a little, but a) it's not street legal (yees yees, nothing is forbidden in the us ;-)) and b) it's useless/slower in racing. Just my opinion though, I know that there are MANY drifters in lfs, you're also welcome guys!
After all, keep'em coming! Even if your wheels are not going to be implemented, they're still great and show all of us a good way of posting improvement suggestions: DO something, don't just moan ;-)

Haha, that pic in my avatar is a few years old (S1 times), it shows my first LX skin actually ;-)
I've been driving LXs since I've bought lfs, in those days the car was just too much for me, the most mad as hell ride you could get. Since S2 it's become easier, and with the sound model it's just pure fun! When we're both back I'll give it a ride again, just for the fun, maybe the second slowest guy in ZWR (me) can still show you how to get that thing through a corner! Plus I could provide you with some setups and the sound file, I'm particularly proud of it, because it really sounds like your ears are 3 feet away from the exhaust pipe and everytime you put the pedal to the plastic the sound clips, like your ears are "shutting" because of the noise :-)

I actually enjoyed reading this thread, watched it almost slip into the eternal depths of flaming spam hell and had to recognise it went back to a somewhat higher level again

So, seen from the stupid noob user client side everything fits. Tried many different settings, changed this and that (e.g. arrow and button colours, many things that are not really neccessary ;-)) And I've got no serious bugs while playing X6. Only the few flaws, that are already mentioned elsewhere, like holes in the road and the like.

I appreciate Kegetys' work, and he is a god's gift to the community! I just don't like the way people can behave when they have pitspotter installed.
There is no "guy on the left" or "clear"!!!
look into your mirrors, look left and right, that's the way to go! You can't get commands like "guy approaching left next corner" or "careful, guy in front is about to shut the door next corner!" There are more ways to get to know certain driver's styles and lines.
Don't take this personal, Kegetys and fellow fanboys, but I just think racecraft doesn't increase by using this tool.

I live 150kms away from my girlfriend. Since she is working as a midwife she's also working on weekends, so I have 10 hours of time sometimes :-( . I've also installed lfs on her laptop, unlocked it and it's running fine. The only problem I could think of would be if my girl wanted to try lfs (naaaaa, this would NEVER happen... she's not into playing stupid computer games ;-)).
So if your "first" lfs locks up, you maybe have to shutdown your rig, wait a few minutes for the server to notice you're gone, meanwhile start your laptop and play.

I've got several friends who play in bands. Most of the CDs they do under their own labels, no GEMA, STEMRA and stuff involved. I already asked the guys if I would be allowed to use their songs. The answer was mostly yes, if I put the band and song name somewhere. I can live with that, too bad though, that I don't own a rig fast enough to get some freeware screen capture stuff running...

Okay, for the last time here we go...
IMO it was a very fair race, everyone did their pit stops, few people crossed the pit exit line and have already been punished ;-) Didn't change a thing in the standings though.
If anyone wants to file a complaint he's free to do so. If not, we'd all be happy and could carry on organizing the next league ;-)

First: Please don't take it too hard. No one will get a dish or bowl or keg for winning here, the UF1 mayhem is a fun championship. So HAVE FUN FFS ;-)
Second: As Mikey already mentioned there are indeed several people cutting more than once, and I've posted before race 1 that there might be some extra time left for the marshals to look at the "on/off track behaviour" of all racers.
This time we didn't pull up heavy barricades, not even hay bales. If we see someone deliberately being off track with all 4 wheels more than once, or getting the fastest race lap, he/she (
) will be punished.
For all bean counters:
--NO, if someone is off track and doesn't get any time advantage (e.g. because of an accident) It is not considered cutting
--NO, 4 wheels in the air don't count as cutting ;-)
--YES, the curbs count as "track", don't be afraid, you wuzzies
--NO, you won't get any extra points for aerial stunts! (I also twisted it once)
